Always wanted to make a quilt but didn’t know where to start — or started one and got stuck?

This friendly, supportive 3-week live Zoom course will take you step by step from fabric to finished quilt.

No overwhelm. No rushing. Just clear teaching, encouragement, and real progress each week.

What You’ll Make?

During the course you’ll make one complete small quilt (lap, baby or table quilt size), using one of three simple quilt patterns designed especially for this course. You get to choose.

You’ll be able to choose the pattern that suits you best. All three patterns are:

• Beginner-friendly
• Clearly written
• Perfect for learning core quilting skills
• Designed to work beautifully with everyday sewing machines.
• Pattern details and fabric requirements will be sent after booking.

How the Course Works

• 3 live Zoom sessions (Only £25 per session!)
• 2 hours each week
• Step-by-step teaching with live demonstrations

What You’ll Learn

Week 1 – Getting Started Monday 7th September 6pm

• What a quilt is (and what it isn’t)
• Cutting accurately without stress
• Sewing neat patchwork
• Making your quilt top

Week 2 – Quilting Your Quilt Monday 14th September 6pm

• Backing fabric and wadding explained simply
• Layering and basting your quilt
• Easy quilting styles for beginners
• Machine settings and confidence tips

Week 3 – Finishing & Binding Monday 21st September 6pm

• Trimming and squaring up
• Binding step by step
• Mitred corners made easy
• Caring for your finished quilt
• By the end of the course, you’ll have a finished quilt and the confidence to make another.

Who This Course Is For?

Absolute beginners and those needing a confidence boost. 

Sewists who’ve never made a quilt, or who wants clear guidance and encouragement.

This course is not aimed at advanced or technical quilting. It focuses on learning the basics well. This class will be recorded and you will have access to the video for 6 month so dont worry if you can't attend live or need a refresher!

• A sewing machine in good working order
