Creative Stitch is a two-day immersive workshop at the Creative Barn, designed for anyone who loves colour, texture and the simple joy of making. This is your opportunity to step away from the everyday, embrace mindful creativity, and create a piece of textile art that is completely unique to you.

Day One – Create Your Canvas

We'll begin by building richly textured fabric backgrounds using paint, stamps and expressive mark making. Discover the freedom of layering colour, pattern and texture without rules or expectations. This is a day of playful experimentation, allowing your creativity to flow and your artistic confidence to grow.

Day Two – The Art of Slow Stitch

Using your handmade background as a canvas, you'll learn a selection of beautiful, easy hand embroidery stitches. Through the calming rhythm of slow stitching, you'll add texture, detail and meaning to your work, creating a truly personal piece of textile art.

This workshop is about more than learning techniques - it's about taking time for yourself, embracing the mindful process of making, and reconnecting with your creativity in a warm, inspiring environment.

Whether you're an experienced maker or picking up a needle for the first time, you'll leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and proud of the one-of-a-kind artwork you've created.

All materials are included, along with refreshments and two wonderfully creative days at the Creative Barn.
