Colour, Create & Stitch Workshop – Make Your Own Tote Bag with Pauline Wheeler 17th October

Fancy creating a bag that nobody else will have?

Join guest tutor Pauline Wheeler at the Creative Barn for a wonderfully creative day combining fabric colouring and sewing to make your own unique tote bag.

And the best bit? It’s fully kitted and all the bag pieces are already cut out for you! No wrestling with rulers, patterns or cutting tables before you get to the fun stuff.

When - Saturday 17th October - 10am – 4pm (If you require lunch, please bring it. Tea, coffee and copious amounts of biscuits supplied)

Where - The Creative Barn, Seaton Grange Offices, Grange Lane, Seaton, Uppingham, Rutland, LE15 9HT

You’ll start with pre-cut fabric pieces featuring designs created by Pauline Wheeler. Pauline will introduce you to a selection of textile colouring mediums and techniques, showing you how to add colour, shading and your own personality to the designs.

Once your fabric artwork is complete, it’s time to head to the sewing machines.

Pauline will guide you through constructing your bag step by step, turning your coloured fabric pieces into a fabulous, practical tote bag to take home.

Because you choose the colours and how you decorate your fabric, every bag will be completely individual. Follow Pauline’s examples or wander off in your own creative direction. There are no two bags required to look the same!

This friendly workshop is suitable for anyone who enjoys getting creative with fabric. You don’t need to be an expert artist or an experienced bag maker. You can even hire a sewing machine for £10 for the day!
