Well my fabulous Sewing School event is back for 2025! This is an opportunity to hang out with me and a small group of like minded people - and have fun! This is 3 days of all things stitchy in a well ventilated spacious room and spaces are strictly limited.

The price includes tuition, refreshments and a light lunch. Let me know if you want to hire a machine because that can be done too!

The cost of the sewing school is £325. This is made up of the initial deposit of £50 to secure your space and the balance of £275 will be due 6 weeks before the school.

Where is it? The event is being held at the Park Inn by Radisson, Telephone House, Wentworth Street, Peterborough, PE1 1BA.

When is it? It is being held over 3 days from Saturday 3rd May to Monday 5th May 2025. The classes will run daily from 10am to 4pm with an hour lunch. However, the room will be open from 9:30am – 4:30pm each day so you can arrive early and leave later if you wish.

On Saturday I would like to start at 10am with a coffee/tea and a chat so we can get to know each other and decide who wants to work on what. Please arrive before 10am if you can so that we can get you settled.

What shall I bring? Something to sew! You can bring whatever you like – perhaps you have a UFO you are desperate to finish, or there is a technique you are finding a challenge. Or perhaps you have a pattern you haven’t even started yet. Bring your fabrics and a sewing machine (I also have machines available to rent for £10 for the school – just let me know). You may also want to bring rulers, rotary cutters and cutting mats (though I have spares) and a mini iron. I will also set up an ironing station but bringing your own means that you wont have to worry about queuing!

You can bring a project or select one from my collection – the choice is yours. We will also take a private tour of my studio and warehouse, where you can shop if you like (no pressure). You will get 10% off normal prices and you can pay by cash or card. You need to be aware that you may see things in the studio that have not launched anywhere else yet, so I would ask that you chat to me before sharing anything on social media.

Meals. Lunch will be provided each day so please let me know if you have any dietary requirements. There will also be unlimited tea and coffee with a small snack mid morning and mid afternoon.

Can I get there by train? Yes. Peterborough train station is mainly served by EMR, LNER, and Thameslink trains. Frequent services connect Liverpool to Peterborough in 3h 50m, Lincoln to Peterborough in 1h 11m, and London Kings Cross to Peterborough in less than an hour.
You can get a taxi from the station to the Park Inn, it is less than 1 mile. There is free parking at the hotel.

Accommodation
Peterborough has a lot of hotels and B&Bs for all budgets, with many being easily accessible to PE1 1BA. There will also be the option to stay at the Park Inn by Radisson at a preferential rate. We will let you have the details of this once you have secured your place.
