Free motion Quilting and Strip Quilting with Sarah Payne, and a Waterfall top and a French Curve class

Sarah Payne - Saturday 28th March 2020 - Free Motion Embroidery

Sarah will show you how you can create a fun design using scraps of fabric and your free motion/embroidery foot on your sewing machine. Learn how to create your design, transfer it onto fabric and then 'draw' it with your sewing machine. This is a fun experimental class and you will end up with one or more raw edged appliqué and free motion stitched block that you can turn into a cushion, frame or use as the basis for a new quilt.

Fully included Kit! RRP £24.99

Heather Jacks - Saturday 28th March 2020 - A practical but beautiful Waterfall top!

Here you will learn French seams, stitch in the ditch and handling a soft fabric to make this loose fitting top. The garment will be finished with a contrast band. Stunning fabrics for you to choose from will be detailed soon. A great top to learn from, and then you can make lots of these for yourself and friends! There will be a choice of materials available.

Fully Included Kit! RRP £25.00

Sarah Payne - Sunday 29th March 2020 - Strip Table Runner

Quilt-as-you-go with Sarah's Strip Table Runner! This technique will allow you to create and quilt large projects on a small machine because you will quilt it in small, bite-sized and manageable pieces. Once your block is completed you will quilt it and THEN sew the quilt together. This simple Strip Table Runner will help you get to grips with this technique, so that a double-bed quilt will no longer feel like an impossible task! Sarah will demonstrate how to use a walking foot and create your masterpiece with or without sashing, and she will explain how the method you use will affect how you work your blocks.

Fully included Kit! RRP £29.99

Heather Jacks - Sunday 29th March 2020 - The French Curve!

Learn to draft your own sleeve pattern using a French Curve, then translate that to fabric and fit it into a simple top. This is such a useful thing to learn as there's always garments you wish had sleeves in. Once you know how to do this you'll be reinventing your wardrobe! Dont forget, you get the French curve to keep and take home!

Fully included Kit! £RRP £20.00
