Kaylan is a Night Elf Druid. Druids are the keepers of nature and seek to restore the balance that was disturbed by the invasion of the Burnin Legion. Kaylan grew up in the beautiful forest city of Darnassus atop the boughs of the great tree Teldrassil. Such beauty could not distract the young Kaylan from the fact that it was the early and reckless use of magic by her people that allowed the Burning Legion to enter the world. She felt responsible for the near destruction of all the races and is determined to rid the world of the Legion's evil.

Kaylan kas mastered the Dire wolf, cat and flying forms as well as the swimming and travel forms and uses them all to aid her in her quest to destroy the Legion and all who harbour them, including the Horde. As with most of the shadowy race of Night Elves who feel most at home in the dark, she is mistrustful of the other races that she meets on her travels. She is most comfortable with her Hunter friend Talleste whom she trusts with her life. However Kaylan is learning that the evil can only be beaten by all races coming together and uniting in a common purpose.
